John R. Liber, II graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1990 where
he received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Trial Advocacy Award. A former Assistant
State Attorney in Miami, Florida under then State Attorney Janet Reno (later U.S. Attorney
General), Mr. Liber has his own civil litigation practice in the Village of Chagrin Falls, Ohio
where he also resides with his wife, Carrie, and four children.
Mr. Liber has been selected by
his peers as among the “Best Lawyers in America” for 2008 and 2009, and achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s
highest professional rating of “AV.” He currently is the Treasurer of the Cleveland Academy of Trial
Attorneys, Legal Counsel to the Chagrin Valley Jaycees, is a former Chair of the Cleveland Bar
Association’s Young Lawyer Section, former member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Bar
Association, and former member of that organization’s Certified Grievance Committee which investigates
and prosecutes claims of attorney ethical violations in Cuyahoga County.
Nancy Haas Burroughs graduated in 1979 from Denison University, B.A. cum laude, Economics, and was inducted
in Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon. She graduated from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1982, J.D.
cum laude, having served as Issue Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review (1981-1982), and as the research assistant
to the Dean of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (1979-1982.) Since 1982, Mrs. Burroughs has been in private
practice in the Chagrin Valley.
She resides in Chagrin Falls with her husband Scott and daughter Cynthia. She is active in the
Federated Church of Chagrin Falls, has served on numerous boards and committees and currently volunteers
her time with the Geauga Horse & Pony Association and various other organizations.
